Born in Spain, she lives and works in Barcelona. She graduated from the New School for Social Studies in New York in documentary photography and film production. She started her professional career working in art galleries in Spain and as an assistant curator in the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Since 2001 she has worked as an assistant coordinator at the Centre for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona. She is also an independent exhibition curator in Spain and an editor at Blume book publishes and has collaborated as an external editor for Ojodepez photography magazine. She lectures on documentary photography at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Superior Institute of Design and Image (IDEP), Ruido School for Photography and the World Press Photography Foundation Masterclass. She is one of the founding members and Director of the Photographic Social Vision foundation in Barcelona. It supports photojournalism through exhibitions, lectures, debates, documentary films and photography books.
